PB & J
Yesterday, we learnt about how a computer works by writing a program(recipe) on how make a PB & J sandwich. And this recipe ^ was going well until the very end. First of all, I forgot to mention about opening the lids of the peanut butter and jelly jars. Second, I didn't mention in what manner to put the two pieces of bread together and it ended up completely squished and ruined. But we also got to learn a lot about how computer and computer programming works, we got to learn things like:
A computer can only do one thing at any given time.
Sequential: This is a specific number of instructions in a specific order.
Algorithm: An algorithm is a big problem broken down to smaller steps.
Conditional: A conditional statement is a statement that only works if a certain condition is met.
Iterative: An iterative statement is a set of instructions being repeated over and over for a certain number of times or until a set condition is met.
Syntax: A syntax error is a type of error that occurs when you make a spelling or a punctuation error. The program will not work with this error.
Logic: A logic error is an error that occurs when you type a wrong line of code. The program will run with this error, producing unexpected results.
Debugging: Debugging is the process of removing errors.
Function: A function is a set of instructions.
